Sail Score app for iPhone and iPad

Almost as good as the old Navy scoring program or the newer TechScore. Needs option for direct swap rotations and divisional regattas where each division is in a separate fleet of boats. Keep up the good work!!

Great software for events not running fleet management. No support for Fleet Management Systems (i.E. HMS 2007) look to a computer and excel file for that.

Kudos! I have been hoping for an application like yours as a “front-end” collection tool for other scoring systems like Sailwave for a couple years now - great start to this application guys! Great features of Sail Score: 1. Records finishers with single touch 2. Permits post-race review for OCS, DNF, DNS, etc. 3. Simplicity 4. Csv output 5. Ability to manage throw outs 6. Supports different point systems (low, bonus) I have put together a wish list of features that I think could make this application work for my club below. Background: We are a dinghy sailing club that currently uses Sailwave to score the following types of events: - monthly mixed-fleet series (different competitors each weekend – Race Officers get points for running races) - multi-fleet regattas (both single fleet and mixed fleet handicapped using Portsmouth ratings) While Sailwave does the job, scoring on the water would be difficult with it. Having a Mobile app to record the finishes and being able to directly email and upload this data to our scorer would greatly reduce the amount of “paper handing” we are now doing. To support our club, the following features would be needed in Sail Score: 1. Ability to delete regattas, races, teams, sailors 2. Ability to output elapsed time to CSV file for each finish => need to add “Start Race” button to record start (elapsed timer and local time) => need to record finish time (elapsed and local time) with each finish => need to be able to review/edit elapsed time [nice to have] 3. Integration (via CSV) with other scoring platforms (like Sailwave) Desirable features: 1. Managing the start sequence count down 2. Ability to score two fleets at once => Two races that start separately may finish at the same time – would be nice if Sail Score could present the list of active sail numbers in one list for all “active” races (races that have been started and not yet closed/completed). 3. Ability to apply Portsmouth ratings to mixed fleet finishes so that you could see in app => not strictly necessary – could wait and calculate in Sailwave 4. Ability to manage throw out thresholds for each fleet (1 after 5 races, 2 after 9 races, etc) => similar to Sailwave’s throw-out “profile” I want to thank you for your work so far – look forward to seeing what’s in the next version! There are many basic features missing from this app. There is no ability to score a boat DNC, DNF, DNS, DSQ. Low Point scoring doesnt award points (or additional points) for a boat that does not participate in a particular race in a series. There is no ability to handle throw-outs (ie: 1 out of ever 6 races). I hope they keep working on this because there is a need for an app in this space.

You cant add or subtract sailors to races. There are no drops or dnf. It looks like a simple scoring program and it is. Its just to limiting for most sailboat racing.

Doesnt let you add boats to fleets race once you setup to score a race. To add an additional boat you have to start over and re-enter all boats. If they fix that and maybe work with some Race Committee people this could be a good app. Kind of a waste of time now. Certainly not worth $5.
